Liebherr redesigns T 282 haul truck

The Liebherr T 282B is a large earth-hauling dump truck designed by Liebherr, a German manufacturer of heavy equipment, household appliances, microelectronics, car parts, tool machines and aerospace components. Launched in 2004, it became the largest earth-hauling truck in the world. The T 282B is an uprated version of the T 282 truck. The trucks are assembled in a 10 acre (4 hectare) factory in Newport News, Virginia, USA, that can handle four 282s at a time.

"Sure, they look glamorous," says Portland, Ore., airport firefighter Pete Hallenius as his department's new "Slime Lime" Oshkosh Striker 4500 emerges from the fire station, "until you have to wash them." The $1 million Striker 4500 is the airport's newest firefighting vehicle--a 58-ton colossus that can cross tarmacs at 70 mph to reach a burning aircraft and can fight that fire longer than any other Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting apparatus. "We always know where we're going," firefighter Ken Edwards says as he moves into the center driver's seat. "Each of the trucks has its assigned spot if there's a crash. We don't leave anything to chance."

Strange Dragon Tank Truck

I’ve seen a lot of photos of USA or Japan trucks looking very stylish after some big work of decorating. But this one looks different. And it can be met on roads of Russia - it’s not from some art gallery.
